Baby Power/Forever Kids Franchise Information

Baby Power-Forever Kids is a franchise for a program that targets development of the child and parent’s relationship. It was founded in 1973 and started franchising in 1998. It was Linda Searles who founded the business in the basement of their church.

The franchise is basically a play experience for both the child and the parent. This builds and improves the communication between family members at an early stage. They cater to children ages 6 months up to 5 years old. Linda used to teach progressive and age appropriate gymnastics and music for parents and children in a local Adult School. Her main objective was to build confidence in a child and develop communication between the child and the parent. In the 80’s, Linda started recording a cassette tape of Baby Power that the families can take home with them and continue bonding at home. Some of the popular songs she recorded was The Huggy Wuggy to get the families hugging each other and laughing. After recording cassette tapes, she started offering birthday parties, evening classes, lunch classes, and Daddy Power on Sundays.

What programs do Baby Power offer?

Their programs are classified into two key components: Baby Power and Forever Kids. For Baby Power Program, they have Baby Power for 6 months old to 2 years old that lasts about 45 minutes and includes puppetry and story time. They have the Mini-Plus for 2- 2 ½ years old. This class lasts about 60 minutes and includes gym play and crafts. Then there’s Power Plus for 2 ½ to 3 years old. This last for about 6- to 75 minutes and includes show and tell and singing. There’s also the Open Gym for ages 6 months up to 5 years old. It lasts about 60 minutes but no specific class structure. It includes playing in the tumble gym, running, and crawling. For Forever Kids Program, they have Power Plus for ages 3 to 3 ½ years old and last for 75 minutes. There’s Singing Chefs for 3 ½ to 5 years old and last for 60 minutes. For Power Art, it’s for ages 3 ½ to 5 years old and last for 45 minutes. There’s also Girl Power for ages 5 to 7 years old and last 45 minutes. Another one is the Labcoat Kids for 5 to 7 years old and last for 45 to 60 minutes.

What’s included in the franchise package?

There will be 5 days training at the Baby Power headquarters and 4 days at your location. Expect to be attending meetings and occasional field evaluations. You will be receiving assistance at the grand opening, toll free phone line, and access to the internet. For marketing, there will be co-op advertising and regional advertising.
