Chicago’s Pizza is a franchise for a pizza chain. It started when Robert McDonald lost his job in another pizza chain in Indiana.

He enjoyed his work and this is what made him decide on putting up his own. When his friend Ron Epple heard about his plan, he asked if he could be part of it. In 1979, they opened their first location of Chicago’s Pizza. They now have locations in Indiana, Ohio and even in Spain.

What makes them different?

They have delivery until 5 o’clock in the morning. They serve pizza by the slice or 7 inch sizes on lunches or you can enjoy their 29 inch pizzas on location. They have an atmosphere that gives you a taste of Italy that your family and friends would enjoy. At night, you can use their drive-thru windows to pick up phone orders. You can also place your orders online.

What’s on the menu at Chicago's Pizza?

They have two types of appetizers. Tastes of Italy Appetizers are Eggplant Four Cheese, Rotolo di Prosciutto, or Mozzarella Skewers. Other appetizers are the usual Chicken Fingers, Garlic Bread, or Onion Rings. They also have Soups, Salads, Calzone, Wraps, Panini Sandwiches, Char-Broiled Burgers, Bar-B-Q Ribs, Gourmet Pasta, Gourmet Sandwiches, Chicken, and desserts. As for pizzas, they have Gourmet Pizza like the Pesto Lover’s Pizza, Original Stuffed Pizza in the Pan with the option of getting Plain Cheese plus one to three ingredients, Also in Thin Crust is the Chicago Special with sausage, mushrooms, green peppers & onions. For personal consumption, they have the Baby Stuffed Pizza.

Costs and Requirements Associated with Running a Chicago's Pizza Franchise

You need to have a net worth of $100,000-$200,000 and a total liquid asset of at least $43,500-$86,500. It would also help to have an experience in general business and marketing skills. Total investment would be at around $89,300 - $175,500. Franchise Fee is $10,000 with an on-going royalty fee of 4%. This is for a renewable 5 year term agreement.

What’s included in the franchise package?

There will be 2 weeks training at the headquarters, 4 weeks at your location and 2 weeks at existing locations. You will be assisted in the grand opening. On-going support includes the evaluation of field operations and finding purchasing cooperatives. The package also includes on-going support in marketing.
